

Desert City Blues: Episode 2The musician walked slowly down the street, with a natural and unconscious swagger. He held his black acoustic guitar over his right shoulder, with his left hand in his leather jacket. Rain had fallen while he was in King Oliver's Tavern playing his regular Friday night gig. One man show, $200 cash. The crowd, of course, was always the same. And the three sets that the musician had memorized were always the same, but occasionally in a different order. People came to King Oliver's to hear those songs, not his songs. All in all, though, it wasn't a bad set up, and it kept food on the table.
